Friday, June 5, 2015

  • Arrival to Israel
  • Meeting and assistance inside Ben Gurion Airport
  • Transfer to Jerusalem (we provide transfer!)
  • Check into hotel (by 4:30pm!)
  • Evening:  Welcome dinner (provided) – 7pm. Be ready!

Saturday, June 6, 2015: Old City of Jerusalem

A day to explore the city that is home to 3 great religions.

  • Begin the day with the short drive up to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city.
  • Proceed to Mount Zion to pass by the traditional tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper.
  • Proceed to the Jewish Quarter, visiting the Western Wall area.   
  • Enjoy the view of the Dome of the Rock, Islam’s 3rd holiest site.  
  • On to the Broad Wall and Cardo, the shopping street of Jerusalem 2000 years ago.
  • Follow the Via Dolorosa through the narrow lanes of the Old City to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Sunday, June 7, 2015: New City of Jerusalem

  • Pending confirmation, visit Islam’s third holiest side, the Dome of the Rock. Located on a rocky outcrop known as Mount Moriah. According to Jewish belief, this is the site where Abraham offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice. The inscriptions inside the building glorify Islam as the final true revelation and culmination of the faiths of Judaism and Christianity. The first domed shrine to be built, the Dome of the Rock is a masterpiece of Islamic architecture.
  • A visit to Yad Vashem, Israel’s renewed memorial to the Holocaust victims.
  • Bethlehem like some 5 miles from Jerusalem and is one of the most visited locations on the Christian tourist map. The Church of the Nativity is the main focus of any sightseeing in Bethlehem; through there are a number of other holy attractions.
  • Evening:  Return to the Old City for an amazing visit to the Western Wall tunnels

Monday, June 8, 2015: Masada / Dead Sea

  • Drive through the Judean desert towards the shores of the Dead Sea. 
  • Continue to Masada, the last stronghold in the zealots’ battle again the Roman Empire.  Ascend to the top via the new cable car.
  • After a tour of this mountaintop fortress, we’ll have lunch (provided) and an afternoon on the shores of the Dead Sea – swimming in the world famous rejuvenating waters and using the Spa facilities. Return to Jerusalem
  • Stop for a short camel ride before returning to Jerusalem

Tuesday, June 9, 2015: Jordan Valley, Sea of Galilee,

  • Bid farewell to Jerusalem and proceed along the shores of the Jordan River passing by the ancient city of Jericho.    
  • Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, with the Golan Heights off to the east.  
  • Drive along the shores of the Sea of Galilee through Tiberias to Capernaum, home of St. Peter where the remains of a majestic synagogue were found. 
  • Qasr El Yehud – Baptismal site on the shores of the Jordan River, Traditionally the site where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.
  • Old Gesher / Naharayim plant: Near the site where the Jordan and Yarmuk Rivers meet. A unique agreement with the Emir Abdullah of Transjordan was reached in 1927. It enabled the Palestine Electric Company to build the company’s main power station at nearby Naharayim (which means “two rivers”). As part of the project three dams were built and in 1932, the Naharayim plant began supplying electricity on both sides of the border, until it was blown up in 1948.
  • Beit Alpha mosaics
  • On to Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional site of Jesus’ delivery of the Sermon on the Mount.

Wednesday, June 10, 2015:  Galilee, Southern Golan Heights, Caesarea, Arrival to Tel Aviv and Jaffa

  • We’ll board jeeps and travel on the Golan Heights, one of Israel’s most beautiful and controversial regions. Discover first-hand the strategic importance of the area as you climb the Heights and “capture” a former Syrian bunker, affording you a birds-eye view of Israel’s expansive Hula Valley below
  • Drive along the Mediterranean Coast to Caesarea.  Herod built Caesarea into the grandest city other then Jerusalem over the course of 12 years and renamed this city “Caesarea” in honor of the emperor. Today the amphitheater is not only a spectacular relic of the past, but a modern performing venue for concerts. Pass by the seaside towns of Netanya and Herzlya until you reach Tel Aviv.
  • Visit to Israel Defense Force army base (PENDING)
  • Drive along Tel Aviv’s coastline to Jaffa.  Visit the artists’ quarter and Jaffa’s ancient flea market.  
  • Group dinner (provided)

Reservations, Deposits and Payments:
Reservations may be made online at www.myhebro.com or by calling (212) 316-4838. You are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of USD $400 per person for your booking to be confirmed. Full payment is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. Payments may be made by check, credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express or via wire transfer. If your booking is made within 60 days of the departure date then the full amount is payable at the time of booking. Below is the payment schedule:

 

    1. $400 deposit due upon reservation
    2. 20 days after reservation: 25% of full payment due
    3. 40 days after reservation: 25% of remaining payment due
    4. 60 days prior: full payment due

 

Cancellations and Refunds:
All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing via e-mail. Please allow up to 45 days for your refund to be processed. Refunds of final payments will be honored as follows as per the paid fees:

 

    1. 90 days+: $400 cancellation fee
    2. 60-89 days prior: 50% cancellation fee
    3. 30-59 days prior: 75% cancellation fee
    4. 0-29 days prior: no refund

If balance is not paid on or before the due date we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled as per the above fees.
